Game Master

📍 342 W 1300 S, Salt Lake City ⏰ Part-Time 🎮 Entertainment

Game Masters are the heart of Escape on 13th. Your job — and it's a great one — is to make sure every single group that comes through our doors has as much fun as possible. You are the first person they meet, the voice in their ear when they need a hint, and the last face they see when they walk out with a souvenir photo.

You don't need escape room experience to apply. You do need energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine love of making people's days better.

What You'll Do

Brief each group before their session — set the scene, explain the rules, build excitement
Monitor groups in real time and provide hints when requested
Ensure all room tech and props are functioning before each session
Take souvenir photos and celebrate each group's success (or near-miss)
Reset rooms between sessions — attention to detail matters here
Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for every guest
Handle booking questions, check-ins, and guest support

What We're Looking For

Outgoing personality — you genuinely enjoy interacting with people
Reliability — when guests book a session, someone needs to be there
Attention to detail — you notice when something is out of place
Comfort with technology — rooms have electronics, locks, and AV systems
Ability to stay calm and helpful under pressure
Availability for evenings and weekends (our busiest times)
A love of fun — that's really what this job is about

Hours

We operate Mon-Thu 4pm-10pm, Fri-Sat 10am-10pm and approximately Mon-Sat 12pm-10pm during the summer. Part-time positions available. We work with your schedule where we can — evening and weekend availability is most valuable.
